I was extremely nervous about the procedure as I have been worried my whole life about going blind! Dr Musa answered all my many questions and made me feel like I was in safe hands! It has been life changing for me! I was born with a lazy left eye which was stuck in the corner near my nose! I had to wear an eye patch until I was six years old to correct it. Even then my vision was very limited in this eye with no definition at all. I was 8+ lonsighted wearing both contact lenses and reading glasses to see well enough to operate my phone, computer or read anything at all! I now have 20/20 vision and don't need any form of correction! Truly amazing! I can't thank Dr Musa and his team enough for the gift of sight they have given me!Posted on Gail TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my lens replacement surgery in September with Dr Musa, I was recommended to him by a friend and I’m so pleased I chose him and had it done. It’s made daily life so much easier for me especially for the gym & swimming. No more glasses!Posted on John HickTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A number of years ago I was involved in a serious car accident. I sustained a facial impact resulting in damage to my face including my eyes. I retained my eye sight but as time went by I developed early onset of cateracts due to the trauma. Luckily I was advised to see Dr Musa. At consultation I was impressed by the thorough examination I received and the surgical plan. I confidently undertook surgery and after an extremely short recovery I was amazed at the result. Better than 20/20 vision! I certainly would not now trust anyone else other than Dr Musa with the health of my eyes.Posted on Chris HansonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After previously had laser surgery over 30 years ago I found that I now needed cataract surgery. This was difficult as I didn’t have any previous medical history to give to the doctor so he had to work on what I was experiencing now. The surgery went well on both eyes however I found that my long sight was good my near sight was non existent. This was corrected by a second operation on my right eye to reduce the sight slightly. The surgery is now 6 months ago but I am still suffering slight blurring and I have very dry eyes which is sometimes very painful but hopefully this will relent with medication.Posted on Anne HaighTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my cataracts operation in April. Dr Moosa did a wonderful job. I can now read the smallest print without 'life long' glasses. Dr Moosa was outstanding and helpful in his entire dealings with me. I was very impressed!Posted on Catherine JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Having had quite extreme myopia since a child, I have always hated wearing glasses and have worn contact lenses for over 30 years. My last eye check showed up cataracts developing in both eyes - so I discussed with my Optician about having prescription lenses fitted whilst having the cataracts removed. He recommended me to Dr Musa at Spire Elland. Having already had an operation at Spire Elland a couple of years ago, I immediately knew that I would be looked after well. From my first meeting with Dr Musa, he filled me with hope and enthusiasm. He explained the full procedure and answered all my questions, even down to sketching a diagram to explain fully. My pre-op assessment gave me more time to ask questions and I was put at ease by Dr Musa’s knowledge and professionally competent friendly manner. Left eye was operated in first and I was looked after amazingly by his team who were friendly and very professional. The day after I had a check up and Dr Musa assured me all was well. The next week I had the right eye operated on - again, friendly and professional people, it was clear they all loved their jobs, nothing was too much trouble. The week after at the check up Dr Musa told me I had better than 20/20 vision and I was over the moon. I could also read almost normally too. After almost 64 years I can see better than I have ever done in my life and I really wish I had met with Dr Musa before and had the operations done years ago - it has really changed my life and opened up a whole new bright world which I am now eager to get out and explore. I honestly can’t find the words to thank Dr Musa and his team enough. I certainly would recommend him for any eye problems and so glad that I put my trust in him for the cataract and prescription lens replacement. Thank you millions. Totally unexpectedly so soon, I needed cataract surgery for both eyes and was advised it be conducted before my long arranged holiday 3 months later. Dr Musa was patient, reassuring, taking meticulous measurements to enable me to be able to see as well practical. Everything was explained in a user friendly manner. I needed deep sedation too, so remember nothing of the process, but recovery on each occasion was speedy and pain free and 12 hours after the first operation I was seeing without glasses (first time since I was 7). Today I’ve been discharged, I only need glasses to thread a needle, ironic as that’s all I could do without glasses before! Costa Rica was truly wonderful to experience and the wildlife and colours seen through my ‘new eyes’ were spectacular. Thank you so much.Posted on Gail n LanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From Laurence, April 2023 For various reasons, my cataract problems had been left to become a more significant problem than they might have been. Once I had got to the point of dealing with my failing eyesight it was a great relief to be in Dr Musa's care. His assessment of the situation and plans to deal with me were reassuring and realistic. His confidence put me at ease throughout the procedures and he has a very friendly and engaging manner. At the end of it all, my eyesight is now better than I could have hoped for, and, particularly given the difficulties created by the fact that one of my cataracts had become so dense, which is further testament to Dr Musa's skills.Posted on Steve BullasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Fayyaz Musa MBChB FRCOphth CertLRS pioneered Corneal Transplant Surgery in the UK.
His groundbreaking techniques were featured on the BBC.
Welcome to our clinic.
I founded this ophthalmic clinic with a clear purpose: to create a place where exceptional eye care is delivered without compromise, and where patients feel genuinely listened to, respected, and cared for.
As a corneal and glaucoma surgeon, I have spent my career treating complex eye disease and providing second opinions where precision, judgement, and experience truly matter. Over time, it became clear that the highest standards of care require more than technical excellence alone. They require time, continuity, and a team who share the same values.
Not a high-street chain. Not technician led. Every consultation delivered by a specialist consultant ophthalmologist. We treat you like family.
Cataract, Glaucoma, Laser Eye Surgery thousands of procedures performed, thousands of eyes restored.
